CEO Kim Sungyoung has spent three decades in the industry of fashion distribution, and is ready to spread his wings into the sector of job portals - connecting employers to potential candidates - through his new venture, JOBCALLME.
Kim decided to launch JOBCALLME as he thought the local job market needed a more advanced portal that can actively connect employment seekers and employers.
"While I was in the fashion distribution industry, I learned the importance of a consumer-centric approach," Kim said in a written interview with The Korea Times, Thursday.
Kim said JOBCALLME has focused on the portal site's convenience for job seekers and employers. "I think other job portals here are lacking that approach as their platforms are targeting developers, not consumers," he said.
Kim noted that the biggest difference between JOBCALLME and other job portals is that his portal site helps both job seekers and employers reduce processing time by providing a video interview feature on the site.
"Through the JOBCALLME site, job offers and job seekers can hold video recruitment interviews anytime," Kim said. "As our job portal also provides a real-time chatting service, prospective employees and employers can reduce the processing time."
