The HR platform for mid-sized firms, Namely, has recently announced the exit of CEO Matt Straz, effective immediately. The decision was made after the Board of Directors at Namely deemed his recent moves with the company as "inconsistent with the company's culture".

Replacing him will be board member Elisa Steele, who comes in with more than 25 years of experience, having worked with a number of global technology giants. She was previously President and CEO of Jive Software, and held other major positions with Skype, Yahoo!, NetApp, Microsoft, and Sun Microsystems.

Steele discussed hopes for the future of the company going forward:

"On behalf of the Board of Directors, I am confident that, together with the entire leadership team, we will ensure the company's operations are smooth during this transition and that we will continue to serve our customers well. Namely is a company with a great team of people and a great product. We are undoubtedly well-positioned to attract a stellar CEO to take the company into its next chapter."
