Australia’s Employment Hero acquires $8 million from SEEK and OneVentures in funding round

Employment Hero, an Australian human resources technology start-up, has recently acquired $8 million in a funding round spearheaded by SEEK and OneVentures in hopes of expanding their executive team. This funding comes a month and a half after the company gained $4.5 million in an injection from backers that included AirTree Ventures and AMP New Ventures, who also gave their support during this round.

The tech platform, founded in 2014 by Ben Thompson and David Tong, aspires to help companies manage the on-boarding process for new hires. As well as integrating with major accounting platforms, it handles employment contracts, rosters, timesheets, superannuation provisioning and payroll and also integrates with major accounting technology products.

Thompson - formerly a lawyer - stated that the funds would aid the the company in adding talent of equal capability across the venture.
