For the second year in a row, the Mahou San Miguel Foundation will support the students of the La Inmaculada Professional Training Center, with 10 scholarships to train as technicians in Restoration, Cooking and Gastronomy and Kitchen Management. In its latest edition, 90% of the students recognized that thanks to them they were able to continue their chosen career path. In this way, the scholarships help eliminate economic barriers and contribute to the training of qualified professionals in the hospitality industry through the financing of their studies.

The scholarships are endowed with 1,000 euros per student per year and are part of the "We Create Oportunities in Hospitality" program that the Mahou San Miguel Foundation has been developing for four years, whose mission is to "contribute actively and sustainably to the transformation and improvement of society, with initiatives that promote training, employment and entrepreneurship, and that promote education in values and social action projects aimed at the most vulnerable people. "

In this sense, the scholarships are aimed at students with good academic records but who do not have enough financial resources to guarantee their access and continuity in the training cycles of the hospitality branch that the Immaculate Center provides.

Also, as they indicate, this training "is not limited to any group", and in its second edition, 7 men and 3 women between 20 and 49 years old participate.

Beatriz Herrera, director of the Mahou San Miguel Foundation, stressed that, through them, what is sought is "to support people with talent, but who have more difficulties, so they can complete a quality training cycle and thus access to work life."
